| Summary, etc. | Le dernier gouvernement de la IV e République dirigé par le général de Gaulle en juin 1958 et le premier gouvernement de la V e République de Michel Debré de janvier 1959 comprennent des ministres non gaullistes qui sont soit des politiques soit des techniciens en majorité des hauts fonctionnaires. Dans cette phase de transition, le général de Gaulle a estimé utile d’avoir l’appui des anciens ténors de la IV e République et d’attirer un corps de hauts fonctionnaires soucieux d’efficacité. La cohabitation entre ministres gaullistes et non gaullistes ne fut pas facile. Si les techniciens semblent mieux s’adapter au nouveau régime, se pose la question d’une marginalisation progressive des ministres non gaullistes politiques. |

| Summary, etc. | The last government of the Fourth Republic (June 1958) with General de Gaulle and the first government of the Fifth Republic (January 1959) with Michel Debré as Prime Minister included non-Gaullist ministers. De Gaulle needed the support of ministers who had been the political leaders of the Fourth Republic as well as the support of top-ranking civil servants who were eager for modernity and efficiency. But the cohabitation between Gaullist and non Gaullist members has not been easy. The senior civil servants successfully adapted themselves to the political culture of the new Republic which was not the case of the ministers, who were political leaders under the Fourth Republic. |
