| Summary, etc. | This study presents collaborative research on the school-family relationship, carried out over the 2022-2023 school year in priority education nursery schools. Cross-category teams worked together to investigate the issue of absenteeism from school: teachers, educational supervisors, researchers and a representative of the Fourth World Association. The subject of the study is part of a project in which the prefix “co” is a strong marker of the associations generated: co-construction of the research project, co-education at stake in the promotion of early learning and the fight against inequalities, of which absenteeism is a significant factor. The explanatory reasons put forward by the teachers made it possible to formalise various variables, the results of which show a significant relationship between absenteeism and certain periods of the school year: the relevant period in the day, the period according to the months of the year. Other significant variables were identified, such as the pupil’s curriculum, sibling rank and the mother’s occupation. The results of the research are twofold: on the one hand, on the factors influencing absenteeism, and on the other, on the very principle of a project in which several dynamics are at play. |

| Summary, etc. | Cette étude présente une recherche collaborative portant sur la relation école-famille, réalisée sur l’année scolaire 2022-2023 dans des écoles maternelles REP et REP+. Des équipes intercatégorielles ont coopéré pour instruire la question de l’absentéisme à l’école : enseignantes, encadrantes éducatives, chercheuses et une représentante de l’Association Quart Monde. L’objet de l’étude s’inscrit dans un projet où le préfixe « co » est un marqueur fort des associations générées : co-construction du projet de recherche, coéducation en jeu dans la promotion des apprentissages premiers et la lutte contre les inégalités dont l’absentéisme est un facteur non négligeable. Les motifs explicatifs avancées par les enseignantes ont permis de formaliser différentes variables dont les résultats montrent une relation significative entre l’absentéisme et certaines périodes de l’année scolaire : la période concernée dans la journée, la période selon les mois de l’année. D’autres variables significatives sont dégagées telles que le curriculum de l’élève, le rang dans la fratrie, l’activité professionnelle de la mère. Les résultats de la recherche sont doubles, d’une part sur des facteurs de l’absentéisme, d’autre part sur le principe même d’un projet où concurrent plusieurs dynamiques. |
