| Summary, etc. | Ce travail résulte d’une ethnographie réalisée auprès d’animaleries et de cliniques vétérinaires situées à Rio do Sul (une petite ville au sud du Brésil), et dont l’objectif central était de suivre et de décrire les associations entre humains et non-humains. L’étude a notamment été centrée sur les dispositifs et les délibérations autour du diagnostic et du traitement des chiens souffrant de dépression. D’une manière générale, la discussion s’inscrit dans un cadre plus large de débats récents en anthropologie, où l’on questionne la façon dont s’identifient les différentes entités qui composent ce que nous appelons habituellement « les relations sociales ». |

| Summary, etc. | This study is the result of an ethnography carried out in pet shops and veterinary clinics located in Rio do Sul (a small town in the south of Brazil), whose core purpose was to follow and describe the associations between humans and nonhumans. The study was mainly focused on devices and procedures employed for the diagnosis and treatment of dogs suffering of depression. In general terms, the discussion is part of a larger and recent debate in anthropology, which calls into question how the different entities that make up what we usually call « social relationships »are indentified and related. |
