| Summary, etc. | The objective of this work is to highlight the prevalence of smartphone addiction and to examine the psychological, behavioral and sociodemographic dimensions predicting addiction. A study was carried out with 459 subjects. Problematic use of smartphones was measured by the smartphone Addiction Scale Short Version, personality by the Big Five Inventory and the Impulsiveness Behavior Scale; self-esteem using “The Rosenberg’s Self-Esteem Scale”. It appears that 69.8% of respondents have problematic use of smartphones. And 70.70% of the variance in smartphone use scores is explained by the activities carried out with the smartphone (t=12.62, p=.000), Gender (t= -4.37, p=0.000), Negative Urgency (t=-7.07, p=0.000), Self-Esteem score (=-6.28, p=0.003), Neuroticism score (t=4.42, p=0.000), Lack of Perseverance (t=-4.22, p=0.000), Time (h)/weekend days (t=2.25, p=0.025) and Lack of Premeditation score (t=2.44, p=0.015). Conclusion: this work shows that smartphone addiction among the students surveyed is a reality to be taken seriously. |

| Summary, etc. | El objetivo de este trabajo es poner de relieve la prevalencia de la adicción a los celulares y examinar las dimensiones psicológicas, conductuales y sociodemográficas que predicen la adicción. Se realizó un estudio con 459 sujetos. El uso problemático del celular fue medido por el smartphone Addiction Scale Short Version, la personalidad con el Big Five Inventory, y la Impulsiveness Behavior Scale; la autoestima con “The Rosenberg’s Self-Esteem Scale”. Resultó que 69,8% de los encuestados presentan una adicción al celular y esta es explicada por las actividades realizadas con el celular, el Sexo, la Urgencia Negativa, la Autoestima, el Neuroticismo, la Falta de Perseverancia, el Tiempo y la Falta de Premeditación. Este trabajo muestra que la adicción a los celulares entre los estudiantes encuestados es una realidad que debe ser tomada en serio. |

| Summary, etc. | L’objectif ce travail est de ressortir la prévalence de l’addiction aux smartphones et d’examiner les dimensions psychologiques, comportementales et sociodémographiques prédisant l’addiction. Une étude avait été menée auprès de 459 sujets. L’usage problématique des smartphones a été mesuré par le Smartphone Addiction Scale Short Version, la personnalité par le Big Five Inventory et l’Impulsiveness Behavior Scale ; l’estime de soi par The Rosenberg’s Self-Esteem Scale. Il ressort que 69,8 % des enquêtés présentent une addiction aux smartphones et celle-ci est expliqué par les activités réalisées avec le smartphone, le sexe, l’urgence négative, l’estime de soi, le névrosisme, le manque de persévérance, le temps et le manque de préméditation. Ce travail montre que l’addiction aux smartphones chez les étudiants enquêtés est une réalité à prendre au sérieux. |
