| Summary, etc. | For six centuries after its birth in Ibn Isḥāq’s Sīra Nabawiyya in the second/eighth century, the ḫabar which recounts Ḫālid b. al-Walīd’s expedition to the Banū Ǧaḏīma kept reappearing in works belonging to a variety of literary genres. This study describes the transfigurations undergone by this narrative through the carousel of versions that followed one another over time in order to question the reasons for the choices made by the authors of these different versions in transforming the themes of the narrative and to try to deduce from this example a more general paradigm that could be extended to other narratives. |

| Summary, etc. | Pendant six siècles après sa naissance dans la Sīra nabawiyya d’Ibn Isḥāq au iie/viiie siècle, le ḫabar qui relate l’expédition de Ḫālid b. al-Walīd chez les Banū Ǧaḏīma ne cessa de réapparaître dans des ouvrages appartenant à des genres littéraires divers. La présente étude décrit les transfigurations subies par ce récit dans le carrousel des versions qui se succédèrent au fil du temps, afin de s’interroger sur les raisons des choix opérés par les auteurs de ces différentes versions dans la transformation des thèmes du récit et de déduire de cet exemple des paradigmes plus généraux pouvant être étendus à d’autres narrations. |
