| Summary, etc. | This article interrogates the contribution of Ibn Ḥazm’s Ṭawq al-ḥamāma fī l-ulfa wa-l-ullāf (d. 454/1034) to the formation of the genre “life narrative” in Arabic literature. Emphasis is placed on the literary identity of this work, which has so far attracted the interest of historians above all, due to its documentary value: forty narratives are examined from the perspective of the construction of their characters, their textual and narrative structure and the portraits of love they develop from an emotional and ethical point of view. The narratological analysis proposed here thus aims to describe the formation of a discourse of a biographical or autobiographical nature through the intersection of a set of ḫabar-s, in which love in its various states is apparently the only theme. |

| Summary, etc. | Cet article interroge la contribution du Ṭawq al-ḥamāma fī l-ulfa wa-l-ullāf d’Ibn Ḥazm (m. 454/1034) à la formation du genre « récit de vie » dans la littérature arabe. L’accent est mis sur l’identité littéraire de cette œuvre qui, du fait de sa valeur documentaire, a jusqu’à présent surtout suscité l’intérêt des historiens : quarante récits sont examinés sous l’angle de la construction de leurs personnages, de leur structure textuelle et narrative et des portraits de l’amour qu’ils développent du point de vue émotionnel et éthique. L’analyse narratologique proposée ici vise ainsi à décrire la formation d’un discours à caractère biographique ou autobiographique à travers le croisement d’un ensemble de ḫabar-s, dont l’amour sous ses différents états est en apparence le thème unique. |
