520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | In an interview conducted by Charlotte Szas and published in ‘Die Welt’, Alenka Zupančič uses Antigone to show how the Freudian hypothesis of the unconscious has introduced a division that allow us to rethink sex, sexuality and gender differently. The trans issue appears, from the feminine perpective, as the return of the ‘repressed other’. Identity is no longer a matter of sexuality since it does not derive from biology nor from nature but is a symbolic construct. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
