| Summary, etc. | Based on the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection, treatment and analysis, mixed methods (MM) produce enriched set of results, suited for the comprehension and analysis of complex phenomenon. In this article, the authors propose to examine the development of mixed methods for the analysis of a particular theme, namely agricultural and food issues, with a focus on the contributions of economics. From this perspective, after reviewing the history of MM, they give an inventory of current publications based on bibliometric analysis, supplemented by a lexico-metric and a content analysis. They propose a classification of these publications and reveal the limited importance of this research in economics and management. Finally, we show that, despite the large number of themes addressed, some—which are nevertheless important in today’s fields of research—are barely mentioned, suggesting avenues for future research. | Summary, etc. | Reposant sur la combinaison de méthodes de collecte, de traitement et d’analyse de données à la fois quantitatives et qualitatives, les méthodes mixtes (MM) sont réputées produire des résultats riches, adaptés à la compréhension et l’analyse de phénomènes complexes. Les autrices proposent ici de rendre compte du développement des méthodes mixtes pour l’analyse d’une thématique en particulier, celle des problématiques agricoles et alimentaires, avec un focus sur les travaux en sciences économiques. Dans cette perspective, après avoir rappelé l’histoire des MM, elles donnent un état des lieux des publications scientifiques actuelles en s’appuyant sur un travail bibliométrique, complété par une analyse lexico-métrique et une analyse de contenu. Les autrices présentent ainsi une classification de ces publications et révèlent la place limitée de ces recherches en économie-gestion. Enfin, elles montrent qu’en dépit du nombre important de thématiques abordées, certaines – pourtant fortes dans les champs de recherche actuels – sont très peu présentes, suggérant des pistes pour de futurs travaux. |
