| Summary, etc. | While women’s entrepreneurship is a research topic that has developed considerably over the last 20 years, there are certain dimensions that researchers have yet to explore. This relates to women’s entrepreneurial scandals. It is also a subject rarely covered by the economic press. Is it because it does not exist, or because it is invisible ? These questions led us to take an interest in a women’s entrepreneurial scandal, which is the story of Elizabeth Holmes, the young founder of the start-up Theranos. We defend the idea that an entrepreneurial scandal is a total social fact (Mauss, 1924; Durkheim, 2017), combining an economic, social, political, technical, and cultural dimension, leading us to focus on the institutional context in which the female entrepreneur is inserted and how she valorizes her resource potential–in other words, her knowledge, financial, and social resources. |

| Summary, etc. | Si l’entrepreneuriat féminin est un sujet de recherche qui s’est considérablement développé au cours de ces vingt dernières années, certaines dimensions n’ont pas encore été développées par les chercheurs. Il s’agit du scandale entrepreneurial au féminin. C’est aussi un sujet qui est rarement traité dans la presse économique. Est-ce parce qu’il n’existe pas ou parce qu’il est invisible ? Ces questions nous ont conduit à nous intéresser à un scandale entrepreneurial au féminin dont est la jeune fondatrice de la start-up Theranos, Elizabeth Holmes, est l’auteure. L’idée que nous défendons est qu’un scandale entrepreneurial est un fait social total (Mauss, 1924 ; Durkheim, 2017), combinant une dimension économique, sociale, politique, technique et culturelle, nous conduisant à mettre l’accent sur le contexte institutionnel dans lequel l’entrepreneure est insérée et comment celle-ci valorise son potentiel de ressources, en d’autres termes ses ressources en connaissances, financières et sociales. |
