| Summary, etc. | Is the “trans” cause an extension of or a break with the feminist struggle? At first sight, one is the logical continuation of the other, since it is always a question of claiming for individuals the right to self-determination, against confinement in a nature that would otherwise constrain them. However, the focus on feeling as the only acceptable criterion for defining our identity as men or women, in addition to raising legitimate concerns in feminist ranks, leads transactivism to the point where it can only think about sexual identity by mobilizing the gender stereotypes that feminism specifically sets out to combat. |

| Summary, etc. | La cause « trans » s’inscrit-elle dans le prolongement ou au contraire en rupture avec le combat féministe ? À première vue, l’une est la suite logique de l’autre, dès lors qu’il s’agit toujours de revendiquer pour l’individu le droit à l’autodétermination, contre l’enfermement dans une nature qui le contraindrait. Pourtant, la focalisation sur le ressenti comme unique critère acceptable de définition de notre identité d’hommes ou de femmes, outre qu’elle suscite de légitimes inquiétudes dans les rangs féministes, mène le transactivisme à ne plus pouvoir penser l’identité sexuée qu’en mobilisant les stéréotypes de genre que le féminisme s’emploie précisément à combattre. |
