| Summary, etc. | As part of what has come to be known as the “ontological turn” in social and cultural anthropology, cosmopolitics has for several years been contributing to a renewed approach to the political. In order to assess the relevance of Pierre Clastres’s work and its posterity, it seems important to confront it with what this notion is intended to deal with in the field of social sciences. To this end, this contribution proposes to give a working definition and to discuss it in the light of the criticisms of Clastres’ writings, and of what, in these writings, was intended to “revolutionize” political anthropology. We begin by addressing not only the politics, but also the poetics of the paradigm Clastres wants to develop. Finally, we ask to what extent it might be possible to imagine a “Clastrian cosmopolitics”. |

| Summary, etc. | Prise dans ce qu’il est convenu d’appeler le « tournant ontologique » dans l’anthropologie sociale et culturelle, la cosmopolitique participe depuis plusieurs années à un renouvellement de l’approche du politique. Il semble donc important, pour juger de l’actualité de l’œuvre de Pierre Clastres et de sa postérité, de la confronter à ce que cette notion entend problématiser dans le champ des sciences sociales. Pour ce faire, cette contribution propose d’en donner une définition de travail et de la faire varier en regard, à la fois, des critiques adressées aux écrits de Clastres, et de ce qui, dans ces écrits, entendait « révolutionner » l’anthropologie politique. Il s’agira d’abord de faire droit à quelques sérieuses objections faites à la théorie de la « société contre l’État », pour ensuite explorer non seulement la politique, mais aussi la poétique du paradigme que Clastres veut mettre en œuvre. Nous nous demanderons enfin dans quelle mesure il est possible d’envisager une « cosmopolitique clastrienne ». |
