Summary, etc. | La présente contribution porte sur les relations quotidiennes entre crèches et familles en analysant deux moments spécifiques : l’accueil le matin et les retrouvailles entre enfants et parents l’après-midi. L’étude, basée sur la méthodologie de la vidéo-recherche, propose comme premier objectif de faire émerger la « géographie » des frontières entre la crèche et les familles. Il s’agit d’aider les éducatrices à analyser le texte et le sous-texte des différents messages de positionnement qu’elles-mêmes et les parents s’envoient réciproquement, en passant d’un contexte à l’autre. Le second objectif poursuivi est de soutenir les éducatrices dans leur effort pour épauler efficacement les mères, les pères et les enfants lors de ce délicat passage quotidien de la maison à la crèche et vice versa. |

Summary, etc. | Video research and reflections on an Italian daycare centre receiving a new intake of childrenThis paper focuses on the daily relationship with parents that develops in a daycare centre, focusing on two specific time-periods : the reception practices in the morning and the parents’ encounter with their children in the afternoon as the child leaves the centre. A qualitative study is presented, based on video research, made possible by a training programme with a strong research component. The study explores the « geography » of the preschool-family borders. It is designed to help educators to analyze the text and the sub-text of reciprocal messages at the transition-points in various educational contexts. The second aim is to empower educators’ relational and communicative skills useful in supporting parents and children during this sensitive switch between the daycare centre and the home. This will enable educators to reconceptualize the educative role towards children but also to frame this in a parental-support perspective. |
