| Summary, etc. | Résumé – Toute existence est jalonnée d’événements et certains d’entre eux peuvent s’apparenter à des ruptures biographiques qui, selon les cas, mènent à l’anéantissement ou conduisent à une reconstruction de soi. Généralement, ces ruptures génèrent un processus de remise en cause personnelle au regard du continuum identitaire préexistant. S’agissant ici de comprendre le processus d’apprentissage et de reconstruction de soi dans une situation de rupture biographique, nous cherchons à éclairer les phénomènes psychiques qui sont à l’œuvre afin de progresser dans la compréhension d’une réalité humaine ancrée dans l’expérience d’épreuves multiples et douloureuses telles que la maladie, le licenciement, la retraite, la séparation, le divorce et la mort. Chacune de ces situations reste singulière mais toutes, au-delà de leur singularité, présentent néanmoins des caractéristiques communes. Ce sont des événements biographiques majeurs qui marquent un véritable tournant dans l’existence avec un avant et un après. C’est pourquoi, à partir d’entretiens biographiques à orientation clinique, nous avons analysé les multiples façons dont le sujet opère ses propres transformations et effectue un apprentissage de soi que l’on peut illustrer par cette parole forte de Marthe, l’une des interviewé.e.s : « Et donc, j’ai découvert une Marthe à l’intérieur. » |

| Summary, etc. | Every existence is marked by events and some of them can be likened to biographical disruptions that may lead to annihilation or to self-reconstruction. These events usually lead to a self-evaluative process in the light of a pre-existing identity continuum. With a view to understanding the process of learning and self-reconstruction in a situation of biographical rupture, we seek to shed light on the psychic phenomena that are at work within a human reality rooted in the experience of multiple and painful trials such as illness, dismissal, retirement, separation, divorce and death. Each of these situations remains singular, but they nonetheless share some common characteristics. They are major biographical events that mark a turning point in life with a “before” and an “after”. Using biographical, clinical-type interviews, we analyzed the multiple ways in which the person operates his/her own transformations and carries out a self-learning endeavor that can be illustrated by Marthe, one of our interviewees: “And so, I discovered a Marthe inside.” |
