| Summary, etc. | Dès l’installation en 1979 de la République islamique, le défi de l’État iranien était d’inventer une forme de modernisation cohérente encadrée par les principes de l’islam chiite orthodoxe, et tout particulièrement s’agissant des rapports de genre. Sur la base d’un corpus d’écrits officiels entre 2002 et 2010, nous montrons comment la doxa conservatrice est confrontée à un dilemme : d’un côté une transformation des modes de vie et des représentations de genre qui débordent la doxa religieuse et appellent à des ajustements constants, d’un autre côté une doxa religieuse qui doit en permanence s’adapter à ces transformations dès lors qu’elle souhaite maintenir son projet d’encadrement théologique de cette modernisation. |

| Summary, etc. | Ever since the Islamic Republic was set up in 1979, the Iranian state has been faced with the challenge of inventing a form of coherent modernization within the framework of the principles of orthodox Shiite Islam – particularly as far as gender relationships are concerned. Drawing on a body of official texts published between 2002 and 2010, we will show how the conservative doxa is confronted with a dilemma: on the one hand, there is a transformation of lifestyles and gender representations that goes beyond the religious doxa and calls for constant adjustments, on the other hand this religious doxa must constantly adapt to these transformations if it wants to maintain its project of providing the theological framework for this modernization. |

| Summary, etc. | Desde el establecimiento de la República Islámica en 1979, el desafío del estado iraní fue inventar una forma coherente de modernización, enmarcada por los principios del Islam chiita ortodoxo, y especialmente con respecto a las relaciones de género. Sobre la base de un corpus de escritos oficiales entre 2002 y 2010, mostramos cómo la doxa conservadora se enfrenta con un dilema: por un lado, una transformación de los estilos de vida y de las representaciones de género que van más allá de la doxa religiosa y requieren ajustes constantes, por otro lado, una doxa religiosa que debe adaptarse constantemente a estas transformaciones cada vez que desee mantener su proyecto de dirección teológica de esta modernización. |
