520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | This review explores the genesis of ecoformation, a neologism that is still little known. The first part reviews its historical emergence since the end of the 20th century, as triggered by the rise of a catastrophic eco-deformative crisis. The second and third sections analyze this disclosure within the tripolar positioning of adult learning science (between self, others and nature) which is at work in experiential, transdisciplinary and transcontinental ways, east v. west, north v. south. Rather than as separate units, these invisible but vital “betweens” are investigated in interactive, organic and above all transactional ways, according to environmental psychology (part 4). The fifth part places this genesis within current policy developments of strategic “life design” avenues to embody an urgent and vital ecological transition. The “eco” prefix seems to be propelled by the rise of a transdisciplinary paradigm of tripolar life formation in auto-, socio- and eco-formation. This paradigm is still green, but nurturing it may be the key to keeping it alive. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
