Summary, etc. | RésuméL’autodidacte est souvent perçu par le sens commun comme un auto-apprenant solitaire, autarcique, donnant ainsi envie de le comparer au modèle de Robinson Crusoé. Cependant, si les spécialistes affirment l’écart entre les deux modèles, rares sont les études qui travaillent de façon systématique les relations sociales de l’autodidacte. L’article s’emploie alors à montrer cet écart, affirmant ainsi le niveau de sociabilité de l’autodidacte et la nature des relations sociales d’apprentissage, ou plus largement « de soutien », qu’il vit durant son autodidaxie. En outre, si l’article refuse de voir une équivalence entre l’autodidacte et le mythe de Robinson, il considère que le personnage originel de D. Defoe est un guide intéressant pour comprendre l’autodidaxie contemporaine. |

Summary, etc. | Common sense leads us to perceive the self-taught man as a solitary self-taught learner, self-reliant, an individual whose way of learning is comparable to that of Robinson Crusoe. However, although specialists suggest that there is a difference between the two models, few studies systematically look into the self-taught learner’s social relationships. This article aims to illustrate this difference by affirming the level of sociability of self-taught individuals and the nature of their social relationships in learning, or more broadly of the “support” which they experience as part of their learning process as self-teachers. Moreover, whereas we reject the notion of an equivalence between self-teaching and the myth of Robinson Crusoe, we feel that Defoe’s original character is an interesting guide for understanding the contemporary self-taught person. |

Summary, etc. | ResumenEl autodidacta es a menudo percibido en sentido común como un autoaprendiz solitario, auto-suficiente, comparándolo con el modelo de Robinsón Crusoe. Sin embargo, a pesar que los especialistas defienden la diferencia entre los dos modelos, raros son los modelos que trabajan de manera sistemática las relaciones sociales del autodidacta. El objetivo de éste articulo es demostrar la dicha diferencia, afirmando así el nivel de sociabilidad del autodidacta y la naturaleza de las relaciones sociales del aprendizaje, o mas ampliamente, del apoyo que él vive durante su autodidactismo. Además, si el artículo refusa de ver una equivalencia entre el autodidacta y el mito de Robinsón, se considera que el personaje de D. Defoe es un guía interesante para comprender el autodidactismo contemporáneo. |
