| Summary, etc. | L’accompagnement spécifique proposé par les équipes E2C favoriserait-il avant toute chose la confiance des jeunes accueillis afin que ces derniers puissent réaliser leur projet professionnel, voire leur projet de vie ? C’est le questionnement initial à l’origine de la recherche que cet article propose de présenter. La mobilisation du cadre théorique sociocognitif, et plus particulièrement, le concept du sentiment d’efficacité personnelle, a inspiré et éclairé notre recueil de données, qualitatif et quantitatif, auprès de jeunes accueillis au sein des Ecoles de la 2e chance. Apparaît ainsi le caractère opérant du dispositif dans le maintien de la motivation des jeunes présents à l’E2C. Plus généralement, nos résultats tendent à prouver la nécessité de la prise en compte des dispositions de la personne, notamment ses motivations, dans son parcours d’insertion. |

| Summary, etc. | Is the main benefit of the specific support offered by Second Chance School teams that it builds confidence, helping the youths who attend to realize their career plans, and even their life plans? This is the initial question at the origin of the research presented in this article. The use of the sociocognitive theoretical framework, and in particular the concept of the sense of self-efficacy, has inspired and clarified our analysis of data, both qualitative and quantitative, from young people attending Second Chance Schools. What comes to light is the importance of this sense of self-efficacy in maintaining the motivation of youths attending Second Chance Schools. More generally, our results tend to prove that, in order to help students move toward integration, it is necessary to take into account personal disposition, and in particular personal motivation. |
