| Summary, etc. | L’usage de la vidéo en formation est héritière d’une longue tradition centrée sur le sujet apprenant (Linard et Prax, 1983). Cet article s’attache à interroger le statut des traces vidéo de l’activité dans les recherches en didactique professionnelle (DP). Il présente les fondements théoriques et les principes qui structurent leur usage dans l’ingénierie DP pour la formation. Trois exemples sont pris pour illustrer les statuts (pragmatique, épistémique, technique) et fonctions (visibilisation, élucidation, conception) attribués à ces traces vidéo dans ce cadre. Ils donnent à voir son intérêt mais aussi ses limites au regard de l’acceptabilité sociale de ce qu’il dévoile du travail et du savoir-faire des professionnels pour les organisations. La distorsion ainsi mise en évidence entre acceptabilité et statut apparaît comme une dimension à interroger dans les recherches du domaine qui recourent à la vidéo. |

| Summary, etc. | The use of video in training is heir to a long tradition centred on the learner subject (Linard & Prax, 1983). This article aims to question the status of video traces of activity in professional didactics (PD) research. It presents the theoretical foundations and the principles that structure their use in PD engineering for training. Three examples are taken to illustrate the status (pragmatic, epistemic, technical) and functions (visibility, elucidation, conception) attributed to these video traces in this framework. They show its interest but also its limits with regard to the social acceptability of what it reveals about the work and know-how of professionals for organizations. The distortion between acceptability and status thus highlighted appears to be a dimension to be questioned in research projects that use video in this domain. |
