| Summary, etc. | Cet article présente une étude basée sur des observations ethnographiques, réalisées lors de séances d’accueil de jeunes enfants accompagnés par un adulte, dans quarante Centri per bambini e famiglie, en Italie. L’analyse est centrée sur la situation sociale dans ces lieux, les échanges entre les adultes qui accompagnent les enfants et leurs attitudes et comportements, selon leur statut par rapport à l’enfant qu’ils accompagnent. L’étude montre qu’un climat serein et détendu, souvent chaleureux, se développe ainsi que de nombreux échanges sociaux entre les adultes, échanges qui engendrent parfois des relations ultérieures entre eux. Ces centres, en tant que lieux de rencontre entre individus qui ne se connaissent pas à l’avance mais qui partagent l’expérience quotidienne du care et de l’éducation d’un jeune enfant, offrent un intéressant observatoire sur la socialité urbaine dans la modernité. |

| Summary, etc. | This study is based on ethnographic observations collected during opening sessions of forty « Centri per bambini e famiglie » in Italy taking in children brought in by an adult. The analysis focuses on social relationships in the centres, interactions between adults accompanying the children, and their different attitudes and behavior depending upon towards the child. It emerges that a serene and relaxed, often warm, social climate and interaction between adults develops, occasionaly leading to more lasting relationships. These centres, which are meeting places for individuals not familiar with each other but sharing the daily experience of care and upbringing of a young child, represent an interesting observatory of urban social interaction in our times. |
