Summary, etc. | RésuméCet article présente une recherche empirique sur les stratégies d’autorégulation environnementale mises en œuvre par des étudiants adultes en formation à distance. Le principal objectif de cette recherche était d’identifier et de décrire leurs comportements autorégulés ou la manière dont ils géraient les composantes de leur environnement d’apprentissage ; c’est-à-dire les composantes spatio-temporelles, pédagogiques et celles liées à la communication éducative. Les résultats de cette recherche ont montré l’influence exercée par deux besoins spécifiques des étudiants sur leurs comportements d’autorégulation environnementale. De tels comportements permettaient, selon eux, de favoriser la réussite de leurs apprentissages à distance. |

Summary, etc. | To train oneself at distance: a study on environmental self-regulation strategies of adult studentsThis article presents an empirical research on the environmental self-regulation strategies of adult students in distance education. The main goal of this research was to identify and describe the way in which they managed the various components of their distance learning environment; that is to say, the spatiotemporal and pedagogical components and those of educational communication. The results of this research showed the specific role-played by two personal needs in their self-regulated environmental behaviours. In their view, such behaviours enabled to support the success of their distance learning. |

Summary, etc. | ResumenEste artículo presenta una investigación empírica sobre las estrategias de autorregulación de entorno ( environmental self-regulation) llevadas a cabo por estudiantes adultos en formación a distancia. El objetivo principal de esta investigación fue identificar y describir sus comportamientos autorregulados o la manera con la cual manejaban los componentes de su entorno de aprendizaje, es decir, los elementos espacio-temporales, pedagógicos y aquellos liados a la comunicación educativa. Los resultados de esta investigación mostraron la influencia ejercida por dos necesidades específicas de los estudiantes sobre sus comportamientos de autorregulación de entorno. Tales comportamientos permitirían, según ellos, favorecer el éxito de su aprendizaje a distancia. |
