| Summary, etc. | À partir d’une étude de vingt dossiers en protection de l’enfance tirés aléatoirement et comparés entre deux périodes en 2000 et 2015 en Seine-et-Marne (France), cet article s’intéresse à l’émergence des ressources parentales dans les écrits professionnels en lien avec l’appréhension des besoins de l’enfant, dans les évaluations des situations d’enfants en danger. Alors que les ressources parentales étaient invisibles dans les écrits en 2000, le parent apparaissant sous le registre du manque, celles-ci sont plus répertoriées en 2015. Mais l’analyse du corpus montre aussi qu’elles sont principalement mentionnées sous la forme normative de la capacité à collaborer. Cet article montre ainsi que loin d’être individuelles, les ressources et « compétences parentales » sont donc construites dans la relation aux enfants et aussi aux professionnels et dans la place laissée par ces derniers aux parents. Leur émergence est aussi à relier à l’évolution des représentations sur la parentalité et à l’inflexion du contexte législatif et du contexte de travail des professionnels. |

| Summary, etc. | Based on a study of twenty child protection records in randomly drawn and compared between two periods in 2000 and 2015 in Seine et Marne (France), this article examines the emergence of parental resources in professional writings in the assessment of child maltreatment. While parental resources were invisible in the files in 2000, they are listed in 2015. But the analysis of the corpus also shows that they are mainly mentioned under normative form of the ability to collaborate. This article thus shows that far from being inherent to individual parents, parental resources and « competences » are built in the very process of relating with children, as also with professionals, notably in the space left to the parents by the professionals. The emergence of such resources and competences are also a function of changes in mental representations of parenting, in the legislative context and in the working conditions of the professionals. |
