| Summary, etc. | RésuméLa question de la perte est au cœur du travail que nous faisons avec les familles à transaction addictive au centre Monceau. Après avoir présenté le modèle de la perte ambiguë de P. Boss (1999), nous verrons à partir d’un cas comment le vécu de perte, par sa dimension fractale, participe à la construction d’une définition de la famille et représente une condition pour appartenir à cette famille. Fragilisée par les pertes ambiguës occasionnées par une migration non désirée, la famille ne peut avancer dans un processus de deuil après le décès d’un « tiers pesant » (Goldbeter, 1999). Pour retrouver son homéostasie, elle va mettre le thérapeute dans cette position de « tiers pesant » afin de récupérer ce qui manquait. L’élaboration devient alors possible, une nouvelle temporalité mieux adaptée à l’âge des enfants s’installe, chacun trouve enfin une place mieux définie et le processus de deuil peut avancer. |

| Summary, etc. | Family therapy: amiguous loss, amiguous relationships and addictionThe question of loss is at the heart of the work we do with families at the Monceau Centre for family therapy. This article first describes the ambiguous loss model developed by Pauline Boss (1999) and then presents a case study that shows how the experience of loss, through its fractal organization effect, helps to create a definition of the family and comes to represent a condition for belonging to the family. Weakened by ambiguous losses caused by unwanted migration, the family in question is not able to engage in the process of mourning following the death of a weighty third (Goldbeter, 1999). In order to regain stability, the family places the therapist in this key position at the heart of the family in an attempt to replace what they have lost. Transformation then becomes possible; conditions within the family becomes more appropriate to the age of the children, each family member finally finds themselves in more clearly defined position and the grieving process can progress. |
