| Summary, etc. | RésuméOn met en évidence, ici, à propos d’un texte des Illuminés, de G. de Nerval, comment la rencontre avec un personnage illustre déstabilise un sujet ; l’entraîne dans une aliénation que l’auteur spécifie : par suite d’une identification « par le regard et par la parole » (texte on ne peut plus de « clinique es lettres » !). C’est là les avatars racontés d’un étudiant rencontrant « un-père réel » (J. Lacan) lors d’un moment de grande solennité. Or, ce qui est le génie de ce texte est de montrer que, non seulement l’aliénation peut trouver à se stabiliser (dans une réalisation de pseudo-lien social, imaginaire) mais, de plus, que la folie – selon l’idée d’Érasme – peut encore servir et éclairer le gouvernement des citoyens. Folie, mais « folie raisonnante » (et donc « partielle », comme on disait au xixe) et surtout... folie salutaire à l’humanisation de l’humanité elle-même (cf. J. Lacan). |

| Summary, etc. | Here the author uses a text, The Illuminati, from by the 19th century Romantic poet Gérard de Nerval, to highlight how meeting a famous person unsettles a subject, drawing him or her into an alienation explained by the author as following from an identification « by looking and speaking » (a fine example of literary-clinical language !). Here we see the avatars recounted by a student encountering a « real father » (J. Lacan) at a moment of great solemnity. Now, the genius of this text is in the way it shows not only that alienation can manage to stabilise itself (in a realisation of the social and imaginary psuedo-link) but, further, that madness – according to Erasmus’s idea – can still serve to enlighten the government of citizens. Madness, but « reasoning madness » (and thus « partial », as they used to say in the 19th century) and, above all, madness that is salutary to the humanisation of humanity itself (see J. Lacan). |
