Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | What does the expression “event of writing” mean? The analysis shows that the expression mixes the notion of historical event which is largely debated by historians since Braudel (1985), and the notion of “literacy event” created by (Heath, 1983) as influenced by the ethnography of communication (Hymes, 1962).Therefore, the current theories of structuralism and functionalism that dominate this double genesis have on one hand rejected the notion of “event” or have ignored it by prioritizing studies of routine writing practices that are small events. If we want to study these acts of writing that interest us: these singular, exceptional, heroic acts observed in public spaces, we have to change the paradigm and construct a concept of “event of writing” that combines a pragmatic anthropological approach and a theory of “writing acts.” |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
