| Summary, etc. | Résumé La critique d’art, fondée des siècles durant sur le jugement de goût, rencontre dans les années cinquante l’art cybernétique, qui la laisse perplexe. Une partie de la critique, rassemblant artistes, commissaires et chercheurs, œuvre alors en circuit clos à la création d’un lexique critique original qui tend à décrire l’hybridation entre homme et machine. Ce nouveau référentiel, mêlant technologie et fascination thaumaturgique, façonne les grandes catégories qui servent en somme une description de la modernité : humanité accueillant la technologie dans son corps même, fugacité et incertitude des phénomènes, complexité des réalités augmentées. Claire Leroux s’interroge sur ces transformations : révolutionnent-elles la critique ? Peut-être pas mais elles la renouvellent néanmoins, en la préparant à accueillir un art en cours, celui d’une société qui côtoie l’immatériel, l’invisible et le nanomonde. |

| Summary, etc. | Art criticism, which had for centuries been based on judgment of good taste, came across cybernetic art in the fifties and has remained perplexed. Art critics, artists, curators and researchers have worked to create an original critical glossary which strives to describe the hybridization of man and machine. This new reference framework which was based on both technology and a fascination for thaumaturgy has shaped wide categories. In summary they are used to describe modernity: humanity welcoming technology in its core, fleetingness and uncertainty of the phenomenon, complexity of augmented reality. How these evolutions have revolutionized –or not– art criticism is discussed. They have nevertheless renewed it for they opened it to the current art of a society involved with the immateriality, invisibility and the nanoworld. |

| Summary, etc. | Resumen La crítica de arte, basada durante siglos en el juicio de gusto, encuentra en los años cincuenta el arte cibernético que la deja perpleja. Una parte de la crítica, reuniendo artistas, curadores e investigadores, trabaja entonces en equipo para crear un léxico crítico original que tienda a describir la hibridación entre el hombre y la máquina. Este nuevo marco de referencias, al mezclar tecnología y fascinación taumatúrgica, moldea las grandes categorías que contribuyen en suma a una descripción la modernidad: la humanidad que alberga la tecnología en su propio cuerpo, la fugacidad y la incertidumbre de los fenómenos, la complejidad de las realidades aumentadas. Claire Leroux interroga el sentido de dichas tranformaciones: ¿revolucionan acaso la crítica? Es posible que no, pero sin embargo la renuevan al prepararla a recibir un arte en curso, aquel de una sociedad que se acerca a lo inmaterial, a lo invisible y al nanomundo. |
