Summary, etc. | Notre article interroge le rôle de la communication au travail dans un contexte où ses normes se transforment sous l’effet de la complexité croissante des organisations. Notre propos se fonde sur l’étude du cas de la privatisation du plus grand site d’exploitation de réseaux de bus suédois. Un management dit « compréhensif » y a été déployé en réponse à une crise managériale. Il se caractérise par une communication permanente et individualisée entre le manager de proximité et les conducteurs, favorisant l’expression des affects. |

Summary, etc. | Communication within complex organizations. Lessons learned from the implementation of comprehensive management practices by a Swedish public transport companyThis paper examines the role of communication in a complex organization in order to evaluate how communication norms develop. Our conclusion is based on a case study about the privatization of the largest bus operation in Sweden. During privitization and in response to a management crisis, a « comprehensive » management structure was implemented. This « comprehesive » management structure was characterized by continuous and individualized communication between middle managers and the drivers they supervised, who were encouraged to express their feelings without reserve. |
