520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Taking care of yourself as a couple is also worrying about the differences between yourself and the other. Psychoanalysis’ invention coincide in history with the possibility for sexual desire and love feelings to prevail over free choice of your life mate. In this matter too, transference is at work. To have two unfamiliar bodies living together in order to create a family in wich the child is able to build his own universe is no small matter. Talking only has the power of softening the shock of ha2ting the enemy or the effects of incestuous pleasure. Couples invent their existence, and their descendants’, in an unlimited alternation of differences and repetitions. While biological heritage is transmitted by sexual reproduction, dœsn’t psychic heritage work through unconscious repetition of cultural custom learnt in families at the time of childhood ? |
