| Summary, etc. | La question de l’identité peut être abordée de différentes façons. Elle est souvent liée à d’autres notions comme autant d’arguments qui permettent d’identifier sinon d’authentifier une personne ou une chose comme de justifier une position. Couplé avec l’identité, l’argument le plus souvent utilisé est celui des origines; cette origine pèserait sur le présent et bien entendu sur le devenir; malgré l’importance qui leur est dévolue, ces deux notions ne sont pas définie de façon stable; c’est le signe même du rôle qui leur est attribué : ce sont par conséquent des fonctions dont l’intervalle de définition est relatif à des enjeux qui sous-tendent leur introduction dans une énonciation. Ainsi, dégager l’aspect argumentatif de l’emploi de ces notions dans un texte écrit ou oral comme celui de toute autre notion est cruciale afin de saisir où se situe effectivement le débat. |

| Summary, etc. | The question of identity can be tackled in different ways. Identity is often linked with other notions such as all those arguments which allow for identification or authentification of a person or a thing and also for justification of a position. The one argument used most frequently with identity is the one of origins; this origin lies heavy on the present and also on the future; in spite of the importance which devolves on them these two notions are not defined in a stable way; this is the sign of the role conferred on them : they are therefore functions whose interval of definition depends on the values at stake underlying their insertion in a statement. |
