| Summary, etc. | La formulation en termes d’embarras peut permettre de repérer l’envahissement physique et psychique par la maladie, des mouvements d’identification divers, et surtout l’irruption de l’angoisse. Ces trois éléments concernent d’abord les patients atteints de cancer et n’épargnent pas toujours leur environnement personnel et soignant. Cette affirmation est mise à l’épreuve à partir de l’exposé de deux situations cliniques : la première évoque une malade hospitalisée qui suscite, entre autres, une forme de sidération autour d’elle. La deuxième rapporte l’expérience d’un travail psychanalytique traversé, puis rapidement et définitivement interrompu par l’évolution rapide d’un cancer pour le patient en cours de psychothérapie. De ce fait, l’épreuve catastrophique de la maladie est relatée essentiellement à partir de son retentissement pour le psychothérapeute. |
