| Summary, etc. | RésuméDans notre pratique d’ergothérapeutes, nous relevons fréquemment des différences notables de résultats d’un même patient à trois tests de copie de figures, utilisées en pédiatrie dans le domaine des troubles d’apprentissage.Cette étude compare ces trois épreuves : celle du « Beery-Buktenica Developmental Test of Visual-Motor Integration » 4e version de Beery et Buktenica, 1997 (Beery VMI), celle de la « NEPSY, bilan neuropsychologique de l’enfant » de Korkman, Kirk et Kemp, 2003 (Nepsy) et celle du « Developmental Test of Visual Perception-2 » de Hammill, Pearson et Voress, 1993 (DTVP-2). Leur présentation détaillée montre des différences : matériels, propriétés psychométriques, notations et étalonnages. Une comparaison des résultats obtenus à ces trois épreuves auprès de 90 enfants de 6 à 10 ans est réalisée. Après normalisation des données, l’étude de corrélation montre un lien unissant ces trois épreuves. Mais l’analyse de variance multivariée par mesures répétées révèle une différence significative entre les moyennes. Plusieurs hypothèses sont proposées pour expliquer les différences retrouvées. Afin d’éviter le biais introduit par les différences culturelles entre enfants américains et français, les auteurs préconisent l’utilisation de l’épreuve de « Copie de figures » de la NEPSY pour comparer la performance du sujet testé avec celles de ses pairs. Celle du Beery VMI est recommandée quand il s’agit d’évaluer la performance de l’enfant dans une trajectoire développementale. |

| Summary, etc. | In our occupational therapists practice, we often find important differences of results obtained by the same patient using three different tests of copying geometric shapes which are used in pediatry in the field of learning disorders.This study compares these three tests: the « Beery-Buktenica Developmental Test of Visual-Motor Integration » 4th version, Beery et Buktenica, 1997 (Beery VMI), the one issued of the “NEPSY a developmental neuropsychological assessment” Korkman, Kirk et Kemp, 2003 (Nepsy) and the test of copying of the « Developmental Test of Visual Perception-2 » de Hammill, Pearson & Voress, 1993 (DTVP-2). Their detailed presentation shows some differences: material, psychometric property, scoring, standard settings. A comparison of the results obtained from 90 children from 6 to 10 years is realized. After standardization of the data, the study of correlation shows a bond linking these three tests. But the multivariate variance analysis by repeated measurements reveals a significant difference between the averages. Several assumptions are proposed to explain the found differences. In order to avoid the skew introduced by the cultural differences between American and French children, the authors recommend the use of the Nepsy test to compare the performance of the tested subject with those of its peers. The Beery VMI is recommended when it is a question of evaluating the performance of the child in a developmental trajectory. |
