Il vise à faire basculer dans l’univers électronique les 40 000 registres papiers du livre foncier, en permettre la consultation à distance, et assurer la valeur probante de ses données sur le long terme. Ce processus offre des enseignements pratiques susceptibles d’enrichir la réflexion théorique menée à ce jour sur la « dématérialisation » des documents juridiques, réflexion principalement centrée sur la seule problématique de la signature électronique. |

| Summary, etc. | This paper describes the main elements of the computerization of the Alsace- Moselle land registry (AMALFI) project, the most important of its kind conducted by the French Ministry of Justice. The project seeks to digitize, capture, and enable remote access to the 40 000 paper registers of the land registry, and ensure the evidential value of the data over time. This process offers practical lessons which usefully complement the literature discussing the « dematerialisation » of legal documents, which has so far largely focused on the role of electronic signatures. |
