| Summary, etc. | Explorer la relation des soignants et des patients psychiatriques, de ceux en souffrance mentale, avec les fréquents handicaps psychosociaux qui émaillent leur parcours, est une question d’importance tant pour la patient que pour la société. Le faire au prisme de leurs droits examinés au quotidien de leurs interactions est notamment un pari fort risqué lorsqu’il est demandé aux équipes de soin de passer de la sécurisation à la participation. Faire retour sur les visées non nécessairement bientraitantes de cette « institution totale » est tout autant complexe à l’heure des politiques de soins faisant rimer qualité avec éthique, et bientraitance avec santé mentale au sein de l’univers hospitalier. Or la fonction soignante n’implique-t-elle pas de veiller autant à ce que les personnes en souffrance mentale reprennent un pouvoir d’agir dans la société civile que de les aider à contrôler leurs symptômes ? |

| Summary, etc. | About the right to be a person in mental suffering: from the safety to the participation?The intention to explore the links between carers and psychiatric patients – or persons in situation of psychosocial handicap – in the prism of their rights for the everyday life of their interactions is doubtless a real challenge. It is inevitably a complex mission when we work into psychiatric institution and when require that the teams of care get involved both in the reassurance and in the participation. We intend to question the aims of this “total institution”. It is clearly interesting but really difficult at the time of the policy of care that articulates quality with ethics, and positive treatment with mental health within the hospital area. Should not the medical function favor as much the control of the symptoms as the process of empowerment? |
