| Summary, etc. | In Algeria, feminist mobilizations of all types, which were very vigorous in the ‘80s and ‘90s, seem to have stalled. Has the women’s movement lost itself in less political activities? When we examine the situation/context of the 2000s, we observe that extreme violences, as well as restrictions on collective liberties that accompanied them, forced the movement to adopt a strategy of survival simply to keep on existing. However, this strategy also enabled the feminist movement to maintain its demands for equality between the sexes and even to widen the scope of its field of action. |
