| Summary, etc. | Cet article vise à interroger un épisode de la vie politique française : la candidature de Nicolas Sarkozy à la présidentielle de 2012. Alors que les sondages (cotes de confiance et de popularité) en faisaient le président de la République le plus durablement impopulaire de la Ve République, la question de sa candidature à un nouveau mandat ne se posa à aucun moment parmi les journalistes et commentateurs politiques. Outre qu’ils vont singulièrement relativiser cette impopularité présidentielle, ils vont également spéculer à l’envi sur son rebond à venir. Ce moment est révélateur, au-delà du cas individuel, du renforcement de logiques hétéronomes à l’intérieur du champ politique et notamment de la part prise par les supposées compétences communicationnelles des agents politiques dans les évaluations qu’effectuent les journalistes politiques et les hommes et femmes politiques. |

| Summary, etc. | This article investigates an episode of French political life, the candidacy of Nicolas Sarkozy to the presidential election of 2012. While opinion polls (popularity quotation) were clearly showing he was the most durably unpopular president of the 5th Republic, his candidacy was never questioned by political journalists and commentators. They will continuously underestimate that presidential unpopularity and speculate on a forthcoming rebound. That moment is revealing beyond the individual case. It’s an indicator of the reinforcing of heteronomous logics within the political field. More specifically it shows the weight of the alleged communication skills of the agents of the political field in the evaluations made by political journalists and politicians. |
