| Summary, etc. | This article analyzes the evolution of the European Central Bank’s monetary strategy since 2010. We argue that the ideological underpinnings of this strategy generate a structural bias toward allocating wealth to the forces of capital rather than those of labor. Despite adjustments during a period of crises, the ECB remains focused on wages as a factor driving inflation, while neglecting the impact of profit-making. The article calls for an institutional reform—such as the creation of a European Credit Council—to better coordinate monetary policies and social goals. |

| Summary, etc. | Cet article analyse l’évolution de la stratégie monétaire de la BCE depuis 2010. Nous montrons que les soubassements idéels de cette stratégie engendrent un biais structurel favorisant l’allocation des richesses aux forces du capital au détriment de celle du travail. Malgré des ajustements pendant la période de crises, la BCE reste focalisée sur les salaires comme facteur inflationniste, tout en négligeant l’impact des profits. L’article propose une réforme institutionnelle, comme un Conseil européen du crédit, pour mieux coordonner politique monétaire et objectifs sociaux. |
