| Summary, etc. | Human capital is a popular category on several levels. On the one hand, it is common in the everyday language of business and politics. On the other hand, it is and has been the subject of theoretical reflections, both in economics and in philosophy and social sciences. The aim of this article is to analyse the internal logic of this category from one of its key elements : the duality of income. First, the article analyses the monetary return on human capital (the first type of income), of which the wage is its clearest representation. Second, the psychic return to human capital (the second type of income) is analysed, as well as one of its main historical influences : Irving Fisher’s theory of capital. Finally, the general logic of human capital returns is analysed in relation to the anthropological assumptions of the theories. Codes JEL : B21, B13, J24, J30. |

| Summary, etc. | Le capital humain est une catégorie populaire à plusieurs niveaux. D’une part, elle est commune dans le langage courant des affaires et de la politique. D’autre part, elle fait et a fait l’objet de réflexions théoriques, tant dans le domaine de l’économie que dans celui de la philosophie et des sciences sociales. L’objectif de cet article est d’analyser la logique interne de cette catégorie à partir d’un de ses éléments clés : la dualité des revenus. Tout d’abord, l’article analyse le rendement monétaire du capital humain (le premier type de revenu), dont le salaire est la représentation la plus claire. Ensuite, le rendement psychique du capital humain (deuxième type de revenu) est analysé, ainsi que l’une de ses principales influences historiques : la théorie du capital d’Irving Fisher. Enfin, la logique générale du rendement du capital humain est analysée en relation avec les postulats anthropologiques des théories. |
