Summary, etc. This qualitative study examines the influence of regular rap music listening on young adults’ representations of sexuality. Grounded in a sociological framework that views music as a key agent of secondary socialization, the research explores how rap lyrics and imagery shape perceptions of sexuality, masculinity, and femininity. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with eight participants (three women and five men) aged 18 to 25. Thematic analysis revealed three main findings: (1) a stronger influence of rap content during adolescence, a period of heightened sensitivity to social norms; (2) widespread adherence to dominant models of masculinity, despite participants’ critical awareness of stereotypical narratives; and (3) the legitimization of sexist messages through the perception of a broader sexist societal context. These results suggest that rap music plays a significant role in shaping and normalizing gendered and sexual scripts. The study underscores the need for educational initiatives to challenge gender stereotypes and foster more egalitarian views on intimate relationships.
