520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | This thematic issue analyzes sustainable performance and the transformation of management professions, a topic that is rarely explicitly addressed in current academic literature. Companies must now incorporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria into their strategies and operations. These changes respond to evolving societal expectations and European regulatory frameworks, such as the CSRD directive. This integration is bringing about significant transformations in management professions, leading to the emergence, obsolescence, or restructuring of various professional roles. The concept of "profession" ("métier") was chosen for its practical and integrative qualities. It covers the technical skills and practical expertise necessary for achieving sustainability. A dynamic approach is used to explore the tensions between new sustainability performance requirements and the internal capabilities of organizations. This issue includes five original contributions. Most articles adopt a qualitative approach. These studies aim to provide an initial understanding of the complex interactions between sustainability, technological integration, and the profound transformation of management professions. Finally, it outlines two paths leading to breakthrough transformations, opening up new horizons. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
