| Summary, etc. | This article summarizes the findings of a study conducted on two half-timbered buildings in Bayeux carried out as part of a university degree. The main aim was to ascertain whether the fourteenth-century date previously put forward for the corner building could be confirmed, as the chronological proposals differed by almost two centuries depending on the authors. Analysis of the buildings revealed the existence of earlier buildings on the plots, elements of which have been preserved and reused in the current structure. Thanks to a dendrochronological study, it was possible to determine the date of construction of the corner house (1502–1503d), and a study of the neighboring building helped to clarify its dating and its links with the adjoining house. |

| Summary, etc. | Cet article reprend les conclusions d’une étude du bâti menée sur deux bâtiments en pans de bois à Bayeux dans le cadre d’un travail universitaire. L’objectif principal était de vérifier si l’appartenance au xiv e siècle proposée jusque-là pour le bâtiment d’angle pouvait être confirmée, les propositions chronologiques divergeant de près de deux siècles selon les auteurs. L’analyse du bâti a révélé l’existence d’édifices antérieurs sur les parcelles dont des éléments ont été conservés et remployés dans la structure actuelle. Grâce à une étude dendrochronologique, il a été possible de connaître la date de construction de la maison d’angle (les années 1502-1503d) et l’étude menée sur le bâtiment voisin a permis de préciser sa datation et ses liens avec la maison mitoyenne. |
