| Summary, etc. | The History of Management Thought (HPMT) has a long tradition in the United States, but until recently it has remained underdeveloped in France. Efforts to change this state of affairs are beginning to bear fruit, and this special issue is, we hope, a good illustration of this. The nine papers that follow this introduction provide a sample of what may be possible, without of course exhausting the subject, either in terms of the type of problem to be addressed or in terms of the empirical ground to be cleared or explored in greater depth. The paper concludes with suggestions for future research. |

| Summary, etc. | L’histoire de la pensée managériale (HPM) est une tradition aux États-Unis, mais restait encore peu développée jusqu’à récemment en France. Les efforts pour faire changer cet état de fait commencent à porter leurs fruits, et ce numéro spécial en est, nous l’espérons, une bonne illustration. Les neuf papiers présents à la suite de cette introduction donnent donc un échantillon de ce qu’il peut alors être possible de faire, sans épuiser évidemment le sujet, que ce soit en termes de type de problématique à traiter ou en termes de terrain empirique à défricher ou approfondir. Des voies de recherche pour le futur sont proposées en conclusion. |
