| Summary, etc. | Comme la plupart des secteurs économiques, l’édition est profondément affectée par la guerre qui débute le 3 août 1914. Mobilisation des auteurs et désorganisation de la chaîne de production sont autant de facteurs qui dérèglent le paysage éditorial. L’emprise exercée par le conflit sur l’ensemble de la société marque fortement le monde du livre. La guerre entre très rapidement dans les imprimés et ne commence à les quitter qu’à partir de 1916, au moment où une usure et une certaine lassitude s’installent.
