Summary, etc. | In Italy “Clinica della formazione” is a complex and original tool for research, training, and pedagogical counseling, originally conceived by Riccardo Massa. This clinical practice aims to study and handle the latencies of education on the basis of a strong pedagogical, materialist, and structural theory drawn from psychoanalysis. Massa disciples inspired by the model have been developing a constellation of practices by enhancing aspects of a process divided into four “rooms” or points of attention. Starting from anchors turning education into text (internal, external, symbolic-projective), individual and group work is developed with the aim of examining the lives and training experiences evoked, the ideas and true beliefs they convey, the affects and fantasies they release, but above all the system—which we call a “device”— that binds the latter together and produces effects. This work is guided by five principles: 1. evoke real situations, 2. do not believe in the existence of a hidden truth, 3. try to be honest without making judgements, 4. speak not for the pleasure of doing so but to learn, and 5. aim to understand representations, dynamics, and educational styles with a view to transforming them. That is why it is a key factor for the training of trainers. |
