| Summary, etc. | Le 5 mars 2022, le gouvernement russe a établi une liste de pays considérés comme « inamicaux » à l’égard de la Russie. La France en fait partie en tant qu’État membre de l’Union européenne. À travers cette disposition, mais aussi par son positionnement diplomatique et via les médias, le Kremlin brandit désormais l’image d’un Occident collectivement asservi à l’OTAN. Pourtant, la France cherche à se distinguer de ce bloc euro-atlantique. Elle use pour cela du fait qu’elle a toujours bénéficié en Russie d’un prestige particulier et que les relations franco-russes se sont inscrites dans une histoire spécifique, marquée par des influences culturelles profondes et une coopération bilatérale ancienne. |

| Summary, etc. | On 5 March 2022, the Russian government drew up a list of countries considered “unfriendly” to Russia. As a Member State of the European Union, France is on that list. By means of this official act, as well as through its diplomatic positioning and via the media, the Kremlin now brandishes the image of a West collectively subservient to NATO. France, however, seeks to differentiate itself from this Euro-Atlantic bloc. It is helped in this endeavour by two considerations : the fact that it has always enjoyed particular prestige in Russia, and the fact that Franco-Russian relations have a specific history, marked by deep cultural influences and longstanding bilateral cooperation. |
