Summary, etc. | In the management of ASDs, it is observed that the subjects’ “special interests” are often used as reinforcement in order to acquire adapted behaviours, in other cases they are prohibited. Using psychoanalytical investigation, this article seeks to question the functions that these affinities may have for the subject. To do this, we will carry out an analysis of Daniel Tammet’s career path and the role that his affinities have played in his life. We will argue that they should be considered as true “psychological acts” that participate in subjective work on the part of the subject and that care must take them into account. We will thus try to show how, in Tammet’s case, they have occupied a central place in the construction of the body, in its identity and in the articulation with language. |
