| Summary, etc. | As a clinical psychologist in an onco-hematology department, how does one react when required to step over the fence and experience this illness from the other side? How does one cope throughout this experience, suddenly intimate, of the diagnosis and treatment of one’s eight-year old son with an acute lymphoblastic lymphoma? We present the observations of a psychologist and mother, a daily witness of this illness. It is a matter of experiencing and understanding—in a new way—the words, the modesty, the hesitations and emotions of all that goes on in the interspace between patients and caregivers. |
