| Summary, etc. | This paper examines the concept of intergenerational compensation as a tool for promoting environmental sustainability and protecting the rights of future generations in the light of the most recent decisions of European and inter-American regional human rights courts addressing the issue of intergenerational justice in cases related to environmental harm and climate change. With some innovative suggestions and despite still unanswered questions, we identify possible improvements that could influence cases pending before domestic courts. |
