Summary, etc. This article examines the challenges of therapeutic mediations in perinatal psychiatry through a clinical vignette describing a difficult interaction between a mother and her baby. These visits, conducted in a structured and containing framework, aim to support the parent-child relationship and promote the child’s psychological development despite parental pathology. However, they can also expose professionals and children to forms of psychological or physical violence. The analysis highlights the experiences of the different stakeholders (healthcare providers, mother, baby) and the ethical dilemmas surrounding the continuation of such visits. The article offers suggestions for adapting and strengthening the framework of these mediations to better prevent violence and protect children.
