| Summary, etc. | The landscape of the Faculty of Theology in Lyon after 1945 reveals several key orientations: toward patrology, liturgy, Eastern Christianity, ecumenism, and dialogue with Judaism. It was during his years of teaching in Lyon that Father de Lubac conceived several of his major works. In addition to his own, the works of his colleagues Albert Gelin, Martin Jugie, Louis Richard also had a real influence on the Second Vatican Council. The faculty wishes for this great ecclesial assembly were fairly standard, except perhaps for a remark on the permanent diaconate that clearly outlined the form it could take. Discipline: HISTORY |
