Summary, etc. This work analyses the political and military activities of Conon, from the victory of Cnidus (394) to his death (391). At the moment of the Corithian war, Conon has continuously been admiral of the Persian fleet of the Aegean, and as such at the service of the Great King. This did not prevent him from holding a powerful influence on Athenian politics : he conceived a project of reconstitution of its empire, soon blurred, but to be later reactivated by Thrasybulus of Styria.
