It is intended to apply throughout France, including in rural and peri-urban areas covered by the gendarmerie. The article focuses on these areas, with the aim of shedding light on how local order is produced in gendarmerie zones, the changes taking place, the dynamics of partnerships and the distribution of roles with local authorities’police forces. |
